Shipston’s talented young trombonist Rufus Gallagher had a very successful day competing at the 75th Annual Oxford and District Brass Band Association in Kidlington on Sunday. He was awarded 4 trophies winning the Under 19 Solo Championship, with an additional trophy as the highest placed player of 14 years of age and under, the 14 years and under Slow Melody Championship and a shield for the Best Boy 14 years and under.
Rufus is a member of Stour Concert Brass where he plays solo trombone.
