Stour Concert Brass continued their programme of local concerts with a visit to the Church Fete at Pillerton Hersey on Saturday June 10th. The weather was extremely warm and the players were prepared with an assortment of straw hats and caps plus a good supply of water. The band presented their usual wide selection of popular tunes with the Middy by Kenneth Alford and Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water bringing forth compliments. The band played two spots with local choir Cotswold Voices performing during the interval. Jonathan Young the organiser was thrilled with the band’s performance and has rebooked them for next year’s event which will take place on Saturday June 9th 2024
